Create and Share Labels in Shared Contacts for Gmail™
Creating contact labels (also known as contact lists) in Shared Contacts for Gmail™ allows labels to sync instantly across the dashboard, Google Contacts, and mobile devices. The system is designed for immediate synchronization to ensure teams always have access to the most current contact information.

Easily create a new label by following these steps:
- Access the Shared Contacts for Gmail™ web app by clicking on the ‘Sign in with Google’ at the top right corner of this window, or visit app.getsharedcontacts.com and log in or create a new one.
- Click the green “+” (add) icon to create a new contact list.
- Enter the label name.
Then, click Save
- Add as many collaborators as needed to the shared label.
Collaborators can include individual contacts or entire groups. It is also possible to share labels with users outside your domain, including personal Gmail accounts.
- Set the access permission level of the collaborators.
The permission level set at this stage will apply to all collaborators. Permissions can be modified at any time.

- Click ‘Give Access‘.
- Start adding contacts to the shared label.
Find the newly created contact list. Then, click the yellow circle with a plus sign.
- Select the method of adding contacts.
You can either add existing contacts from your current contacts or create new contacts.
- If you choose ‘Add an existing contact,’ a pop-up window displays all available contacts.
Mark the contacts you want to include in the newly created label by checking the corresponding boxes. Then, click ‘Add these contacts to this contact list’
- If you choose ‘Add a new contact,’ a contact entry form appears for you to complete.
Be sure to click “Save” to confirm the changes.
- The contacts now appear under the label.

•Log back into the correct account and accept the invitation.
How do I share my contacts with secondary domain users?
Sharing with secondary domain users works the same way as sharing with users from the primary domain. Simply click the “Share” button and enter the email address of the user you want to share the label with.
Can I restrict what collaborators can do with shared contacts?
Yes. You can control permission levels (View Only, Can Edit, Can Delete, Manage, or Can Reshare) for each collaborator when sharing the label or by editing permissions later. Learn more about it in this article.
Can I add contacts to multiple labels?
