You and your whole team can share, manage, and access your contacts whenever you want, wherever you are. Those who share your contacts don't open your account at all. On the other hand, Google Delegate Feature only allows the delegates to read, send, and delete your email messages. They can’t chat with anyone for you or change your Gmail password. When they send a message, their email address appears.

Google’s Delegation Features

Only allows sharing of contacts in the “My contacts” group.
Does not synchronize with Outlook or mobile devices.
Only allows one “Editing Mode” for everyone.
Impossible to find delegated contacts through the Gmail contacts search engine.
Delegated contacts do not appear in Gmail autocomplete mode.
