Being able to access your shared contacts on your mobile phone is essential for many teams and businesses to conduct their daily tasks. We understand it well. Thus, we have made it extremely easy for our users to sync their shared contacts with their phones.
After you have shared your Google contacts, you and your users need to synchronize these contacts with your iPhone contact book. To access your shared labels and share your mobile contacts, the simplest way is to install Shared Contacts for Gmail® iPhone/iOS app.
Time needed: 3 minutes
There may be some reasons why you do not want to use the Shared Contacts mobile app. Instead, you can simply synchronize your shared contacts with your legacy native iOS Contact book as follows:
The shared icon is shown on the right-hand side of your labels.
In this step, users can select “Sync these shared contacts with your mobile devices and Outlook”.
Activating the toggle ensures that shared contacts are synced to the users’ general Google Contacts and not solely visible in their shared labels. This makes integrations with Google Contacts hassle-free. However, by restricting this access, collaborators avoid having unnecessary contacts synced to their Google Contacts, outside of their designed label.
Open your iPhone > Settings app
Follow the instructions to sign in to your Google Account.
Lastly, open your iPhone Contacts app to begin the sync. You can manage and edit these settings at any given time.
Congratulations! You now have your Google Contacts and iPhone synchronized. Moreover, if you want to enjoy full sharing capabilities and want to handle contact labels on your iPhone, get our iPhone app!
