How to Get a ContactsFlow™ (formerly Shared Contacts for Gmail™) API Key

The developers built ContactsFlow™ (formerly Shared Contacts for Gmail™) with integrations in mind. The API key is easily accessible so developers can ease up the integration and automation of the shared contacts with third party apps.

Examples of integrations : 

  • Automatic creation of a shared contact when a contact form is filled out on your website
  • Automatic creation of a shared contact when a new lead is created in your in-house CRM or ERP
  • Automatic sharing of a shared list when a new member joins the team

Admins can create a ContactsFlow™ (formerly Shared Contacts for Gmail™) API key with a few simple steps.

  1. Open your ContactsFlow™ (formerly Shared Contacts for Gmail™) dashboard.

  2. On the left-side pane, go to Settings>API Key

    Note: Only administrator accounts can see the “API Key” menu.

  3. Click “Create a new key”

  4. After typing in the name of the key, click Save

  5. Now, you have the API Key.

Your API key is now ready to use for accessing your ContactsFlow™ (formerly Shared Contacts for Gmail™) features and data from your business tools.

Keep it secure—anyone with access to this key can view, update, and manage your shared contacts just like an authorized user.

Important Security Note: If the key is ever exposed or is no longer needed, delete it immediately to prevent unauthorized access.
